Our Four Commitments

Commitment to Staff

It is important that all of our workers are properly motivated and fully engaged. To achieve this Borderways undertook a two year rigorous programme of becoming an Investor in People, this certification was renewed again in 2009.

Commitment to the Community

Borderways is active in the local community being the leading sponsor of the BVAC vintage car rally and Stow FC.

Commitment to the Environment

Borderways is SEPA registered so all of our qualified operators are trained in the environmentally sound disposal of waste products from any project undertaken.

Commitment to Innovation and Improvement

Borderways was recently awarded 3 awards at the Marshalls 2009 Annual Awards Ceremony, these included Best Driveway Transformation, Best use of a new Marshalls Product and Regional runner up for the Best Use of Ethically Sourced Haworth Moor Paving

Managing director, Graeme Steel said "we are particularly delighted to win the category of best use of ethically sourced sandstone, as a company we fully support Marshalls pioneering membership of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETA) and adoption of their base code in establishing new standards of working practice that will benefit previously exploited workers in the Natural Stone industry of India.”
